In the Moluccas, our population is still threatened every day by oppression and exploitation. Human rights are grossly violated by Indonesia. To name a few examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud835\udc08\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc23\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc2c\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc1e \ud835\udc22\ud835\udc27 \ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc21\ud835\udc1e \ud835\udc0c\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc25\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc2c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The original inhabitants of Maluku must fight against the Jakarta elite and foreign investors to defend their customary rights. Traditional lands are being robbed and confiscated without legal basis with the help of the authorities. Forests are being deforested without compensation. The environment is threatened. Elites and investors are given a free hand by the Indonesian government to plunder Maluku’s wealth without legal consequences.

\u2022 To this day, the Moluccan people do not have the right to speak freely. Indonesia’s democracy is a sham democracy because our people in Maluku are still afraid to speak openly and freely because they know they are being watched and could be arrested, intimidated and prosecuted.

\u2022 The Moluccan people are victims of the policy of Javanization through transmigration. The impact of transmigration in Maluku over several generations is: demographically, Javanese transmigrants will become the majority in Maluku. The original inhabitants of Maluku will be demoted to minority citizens in our homeland and they will become second-class citizens.

\u2022 The characteristics of our identity as an Alifuru nation are being subtly and deliberately diluted by the dominant culture, namely Javanese Islamic culture in all aspects of our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
